Friendships are like erections - sometimes they soften and disappoint you. But when the boys reunited last night at La Maison for the first time in 2 weeks, one thing was clear, these guys aren’t a group of puttie knobs, they’re full blown hard ons. Yay for friendship! Also shout out to my grandma who reads this blog.
The night kicked off with a killer set by Norescue. Energetic and top notch players they rocked the house with great songs and a desire to eat A&W that went unmatched.
Next up were us, the weird band.
Need I say more?
Fuck it, I will.
So our lead singer, Hunter was hit with a vicious case of strep throat. Now some might say he wore the makeup because he was high as shit off pain meds but we all know why he really did it - for you the fans. Awwwwww.
Anyway, at this point in the set Vince had an adrenaline rush that caused him to fall on the ground, and get brain damage, miraculously counteracting the brain damage he had already. Now he intends to give up rock and become a chartered accountant. Godspeed.
Where was I? Oh yeah, Hunter started seizuring with him on the floor.
Our bassist, Fox, debated jumping in but La Maison has a strict ‘No Hipsters on the floor’ policy, so he relegated to locking eyes on drummer Nick’s thick and rock hard snare drum.
All in all it was a good set, which was then preceded by another sick set by the awesomely talented band, GURTH.
Great show, but the after party was something else. We’ll tell that story next week.
Stay greasy, losers.
